Juniors - Litherland Sports Park, for a bike and run session


The centre has a purpose-built outdoor 1 km bike track and a separate running track. The juniors are split into two groups, depending on age, and spend the first half hour learning new bike skills and building up their bike riding fitness. The second half of the session is the run session, where we look at good running technique and building up run fitness. We also arrange fun races between ourselves and other clubs, so that the juniors can put all of the sports together and practise the transition between them. All the juniors need for the bike and run session is a bike, in good working order, but it doesn’t need to be an expensive specialist bike, a helmet and some clothes and trainers to run in and a drink and a snack.
