Athletic Background: Sprinting / hurdling as a child, football as a teenager, triathlon in the early 90's (see pic above) and Dragon Boat Paddling as an adult. Running has always been there.
Biggest sporting achievement to date?: Racing for GB in a Dragon Boat, medalling at Europeans and Worlds.
Favourite workout?: Interval running
Least Favourite Workout?: Hills on bike
Worst Habit ?: Not enough core / stretching / sleep
Favourite song to train to / motivate?: Lots and varied
Something about you that many people do not know?: Scored a winning goal for St Helens WFC in the Womens FA Cup quarter final, televised by C4, sporting a blonde 80's perm and very short shorts!!
If you could tell other athletes one thing you have learned so far in your training what would it be?: It doesn't get any easier
What is your ultimate goal as an athlete?: To keep going for as long as I can and to qualify for GB age group
Favourite Race / Course?: Penmaenmawr fell race
What's your most memorable racing moment?: Llandudno 10 in 2002, ran like clockwork, paced to perfection. 75min.
Any unusual race day routines or superstitions?: I have to arrive VERY early!!
What race / event / ride is on your bucket list?: Trip to Italy with my brother & sis-in-law
Swim: Blueseventy Pivot... want a new one. Goggles? various
Bike: Focus Cayo Evo, Specialized (something) helmet
Run: Adidas Boston Boost
Nutrition of choice: not fussy
