Athletic Background: Football and muay thai

Biggest sporting achievement to date?: Finishing my first IM. Loved the build up, the crack with my fellow merseytriers and obviously crossing the line to the immortal words!

Favourite workout?: All of the 3 disciplines I love training in, just wish I was good at them!

Least Favourite Workout?: Only swimming when it's cold. I can tolerate sideways rain when either cycling or running but submerged in cold water is awful!

Worst Habit ?: I tend to binge drink a couple of days before an IM!

Favourite song to train to / motivate?: I don't train to music as I cannot use music in events. But can't help feeling gee'd up to rocky tune!

Something about you that many people do not know?: I have terrible flatulence when running. Pity I'm not fast enough to get away from the smell though!

If you could tell other athletes one thing you have learned so far in your training what would it be?: Winging it can only get you so far. Unfortunately you do have to be a ickle bit serious if you want to get better.

What is your ultimate goal as an athlete?: My only goal is to keep improving. Hopefully I will. Oh and win Kona ;)

Favourite Race / Course?: IM Lanza - loved that course.

What's your most memorable racing moment?: It had to be finishing IM Lanza carrying my 2 & 1 year old boys across the line with me. One had chicken pox the other was screaming his head off and I was blubbering away. Needless to say I didn't buy them photo's!!!!

Any unusual race day routines or superstitions?: Praying to Buddha, Muhammad, Jesus, Zeus and every other god out there that my bike makes it through the bike leg!!

What race / event / ride is on your bucket list?: IM whistler and boulder. Just love the iron distance events. Ideal when there isn't a fast twitch fibre in my body.

Bike: Giant tcr sl advanced/ Planet X Exocet

Run: Saucony

Nutrition of choice: Malt loaf.

What piece of equipment couldn't you live without?: Ya zoo choc milk shakes!
